Wednesday Recreation Program
The program is designed to assist individuals in developing socialization skills. It offers various activities such as arts and crafts, dancing and movies. A snack and transportation are provided.
(Wednesdays from 3:30 to 6:30 PM)
Saturday Recreation Program
The recreation program is community oriented to aid individuals with socialization skills. The participants go on trips throughout the NYC Metropolitan area. The program offers in-house activities as well, including arts and crafts, movies, sports and parties. Lunch and transportation are provided.
(Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM)

ETAPAS
Recreation Program
Esperanza offers recreational programs for children diagnosed with autism and severe behavioral difficulties. Activities including music, computer games, art and dance therapy are provided to enhance socialization skills. The program offers one-to-one support for each individual. A snack and transportation are provided.
(Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM)

Get-Away Trips for Children
Esperanza offers a three day vacation for children, ages 5 to 18, with developmental disabilities living in Manhattan or the Bronx. It offers the children an opportunity for new experiences and provides much needed respite for their families. Trips are closely supervised and are conducted in small groups.

Who is eligible for Get-Away Trips?
- Individuasls diagnosed with a developmental disability and living with their families in Manhattan or the Bronx.
Admission Requirements?
- Psychological Evaluation
- Pyschosocial Evaluation
- Medical Evaluation
- MSC or PCSS enrollment
- Waiver enrollment
